This is an exploration of fashion and architecture. Compiling the notions of both industries, they fundamentally provide the same thing at different scales: shelter and space for the human body. The unconventional materials and forms created in these images are inspired by Alexander McQueen's Autumn 2003 couture fashion show titled, Scanners. This is a precursor to the work done for 'this land' and attempts to address futurism and culture in a growing, globalized economy and international stage of architectural problem solving.
The film attached to the end of the images you'll find here serves as a documentation of making. Each piece started off from somewhere, then my professor would interject and destroy or modify it, and then I readdressed it.
