Constructed in 2004, the Scottish Parliament Building, designed by Enric Miralles, features an office and bay window for each acting member of parliament. This was designated as contemplation space.
The Thinking Pods, reveal the democratic invention of pondering and self-reflection while they overlook the surrounding site and vegetation of the building's context. The abstract forms throughout the entire building, are stressed to be "whatever you want them to be," the freedom of deciphering what these symbols are or mean express an exercise of democracy.
